RuneWords Privacy & Data

Last updated: April 19, 2026

Overview

RuneWords stores gameplay progress, settings, and purchases on your device. If online sync is enabled, progress and account-linked state can also be stored through Firebase-backed services so your game can recover across sessions and devices.

What is stored

RuneWords stores local progress, FTUE state, settings, coin balance, level completion, and purchase entitlements needed to operate the game. If you sign in or use sync-backed features, the app may also store player identifiers and cloud progress needed to restore your account.

Services the app may contact

The shipped app may contact Firebase services for authentication, progress sync, analytics, crash reporting, and remote configuration. It may also contact Apple’s App Store services for purchases and restore, and Google ad and consent services when ads are enabled for your account and region.

Ads, analytics, and consent

RuneWords may request consent for ad-related processing, may ask for App Tracking Transparency permission, and may log analytics needed to understand gameplay health and purchase or ad delivery. Paid ad-free entitlements suppress ad surfaces as described in the store and terms.

Retention and deletion

If you play only on-device, most gameplay state remains local to your device. If you enable account-linked or sync-backed features, some identifiers and synced progress may be stored in backend services to restore your game across sessions and devices. For deletion requests, email support@runewords.app.

Support and deletion requests

If you need help with privacy questions, account data, or deletion requests, contact RuneWords support. Support can explain what the shipped app stores locally, what may be synced through configured backend services, and how to handle account-linked requests.
